Licensed Seed Crop Inspector

AgCall CropInspect has an exciting opportunity for agriculture professionals to work as Licensed Seed Crop Inspectors in select geographies across Canada.

Crop Inspectors walk pedigreed seed crops to visually analyze varietal purity, check for prohibited weeds and other contaminating crop kinds. Inspectors receive training and licensing through the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Inspectors are supported by a regional Lead and are responsible to work directly with seed growers in their area. Inspectors manage their own schedule based around crop maturity to ensure inspections are completed at the correct growth stage and prior to harvest.

Successful candidates are knowledgeable in agriculture and have past field work experience. Candidates are physically fit and able to walk long distances in variable weather conditions. Attention to detail, the ability to manage and plan workload effectively while providing excellent customer service is essential for this position.
